At Border Collie Rescue (BCR), our volunteers are the heart and soul of our mission. They are dedicated individuals who share a passion for helping Border Collies find loving, permanent homes. Volunteering with us is more than just lending a hand; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of these intelligent and active dogs, as well as in the lives of the people who care for them.

Why Volunteer with BCR?

Border Collies are known for their incredible energy, intelligence, and loyalty. However, these same traits can sometimes make them a challenging breed for inexperienced owners. That’s where our volunteers come in. By working with BCR, you’ll help ensure that every Border Collie that comes into our care is matched with a family that understands and appreciates their unique needs.

As a volunteer, you will:

Assist in Finding Homes:

Help us in the process of finding permanent placements for Border Collies, ensuring they go to homes that are well-prepared for the responsibility of caring for such an active breed.

Support Owners in Need:

Provide invaluable support to Border Collie owners who, due to life circumstances, can no longer care for their dogs. Your efforts will help ease the transition for both the dog and the owner, ensuring that the dog finds a new, loving home.

Educate and Guide New Owners:

Work with new adopters to help them understand the demands of living with a Border Collie. Your guidance can make all the difference in creating a successful and long-lasting adoption.
