Fly is a nearly 5-year-old Border Collie with a heart full of love and a mind entirely focused on one thing: playing ball. This handsome boy is socialized and well-behaved on a lead and harness, making him a joy to take to the park. His favorite activity is chasing after a ball, and he stays laser-focused on his game, determined to keep other dogs at bay if they try to interrupt his playtime. Though he’s not one to start trouble, Fly prefers to be the only male dog in the household due to his strong-willed nature.

Fly has lived with a female Collie in the past, but his dominant character makes him best suited for a home where he can be the star of the show, ideally without small children. He finds small kids scary and, out of nervousness, might nip, so a child-free environment is essential for his comfort and safety.

In addition to his love for the park and playing ball, Fly is also a big fan of cuddles with adults. He’s house-trained and accustomed to the comforts of indoor living, often curling up on his mom’s bed for the night. Fly’s grooming routine is quite specific: while he’s okay with baths, he strongly dislikes hair dryers. A gentle towel dry followed by a soft brush-out is all he needs to keep looking his best, as he finds hard dog brushes uncomfortable.

Fly is currently residing with us in Centurion, waiting for the perfect family or individual who can offer him a loving, child-free home where he can continue to enjoy his favorite activities—playing ball, going for walks, and snuggling up with his human companions.
