Parker is a sweet and sensitive 8-year-old Border Collie who, after being adopted from us five years ago, has sadly found himself back in our care. His beloved parents both passed away from cancer, and now Parker is looking for a new home where he can find comfort and peace.

Parker has always been a bit shy, especially around new faces. He needs a soft and gentle environment where he can feel safe and secure. Patience is key with Parker—he thrives when he’s allowed to do things at his own pace. Rushing him or forcing him into new situations too quickly can make him anxious, so a calm and understanding home would be ideal.

In his younger days, Parker loved going for walks and exploring the outdoors. However, as he’s gotten older, he’s become less interested in walks and more inclined to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like lounging in a cozy spot or being near his favorite people. He’s not a high-energy dog anymore, so he would do well in a quiet home where he can relax and enjoy his golden years.

Parker’s perfect home would be one where he can be given the time and space to adjust and where his new family understands that he may take a little while to warm up. Once he feels comfortable, Parker’s loving nature and gentle spirit truly shine through.
